About Ron Cline
Welcome! I am a photographer living in Taos, New Mexico. Originally from the mountains of North Carolina, I grew up practicing art of many types, especially drawing, painting, and photography. My degrees are in art, theatre, and mass media, in which I have also studied cinema and video. I began photography at age 12 with a new Sears Tower 35mm, and, since then, a camera has always been near me to capture my environment.
I have, over the years, had many jobs unrelated to the arts, but the pursuit of visual expression has always been my passion. My first photography business was Ron Cline Photographics started in 1974 when I was in college, selling prints. Later, I started Ron Cline Photography in 1986 when I got my first jobs taking portraits of celebrities. In 1996, the business became RCLINEPhotography covering portraits, the arts, and commercial work.
