April 10th, 2010
Much research have I done throughout the past long, cold winter up here in the mountains of northern New Mexico. I tried several different websites until I finally ran across the great people at Photium.com in the UK who have been wonderful to work with. I checked out dozens of photography promotional and referral sites and nothing suited my particular desires until a few days ago an invitation to Fine Art America showed up in my email. I was immediately impressed with the possibilities of this site and I am grateful to be a member now. I plan to continually expand my presence here and I love the responsiveness of the people I have encountered.
My home in these mountains is at an altitude of 8,200' and winters up here are much like those of the country much farther north. Finally, as April progresses, winter's icy grip (as I so named a portfolio on my website) is melting away and the Rio Fernando which runs through our back yard is mounting up a run-off of roaring white water. With my computer files full of images with the predominate color of white, I am also grateful this year for the coming spring...oh, you mean that it is already spring where you are? April showers bringing May flowers? Up here, May showers, which are sometimes snow, bring June flowers! I will just be glad to capture the rest of nature's color spectrum without having to keep my Nikons' lithium batteries in a warming pouch under my shirt.
While I'm at it, let me remind you of my website: www.rclinephotography.com. Plus, I have another blog at: www.woodenphotos.blogspot.com.
Thanks for visiting my little corner of FAA!
